Rachel Lewis – Headteacher
Rachel has been the Headteacher since January 2009. Rachel is an experienced early years educator who believes strongly in the importance of quality early years provision that is delivered by qualified and experienced staff. She believes that it is important to work in partnership with parents and other agencies to ensure that children and families get the best possible start.
Christine Emmett – Deputy Head Teacher
Christine is a qualified primary school teacher who has specialised in early education. Christine is the Deputy Headteacher and the Special Needs Co-Ordinator.
Karen Molyneux – Business Manager
Karen joined the Nursery in 2008. She completed her Certificate in School Business Management in 2010. Karen loves numbers and always makes sure that we make the best use of our budgets to benefit our children and families. She looks after the building and makes sure it is safe for everyone!
Sam Pemberton – Senior HLTA
Sam is passionate about parental involvement, she delivers all our inspire sessions for children who are on the waiting list. Sam is able to help the children with their transition into nursery and also provides lots of useful information to parents about how they can support their child’s learning. Sam is responsible for delivering our family sessions at the Children’s Centre and takes a lead role in supporting the quality of our 2 year old provision.
The Office Team
Karen Milligan – Nursery Administrator
Karen is invaluable to the running of the school and ensures that everything is organized and efficient! Karen collects all the money from parents and arranges any extra sessions that you may want to purchase. The children love to visit her in the office and show her what they have been making.
Helen is the School Clerical Assistant and helps with the smooth running of the Nursery school. Helen loves meeting all of the Children and Parents and helps to make sure they enjoy their time at Nursery. Helen helps to ensure that the community rooms are ready and organised for the groups that use them.
3 & 4 Year Old Nursery:
Sameem Minawala – Class Teacher
Sameem joined us in 2010, she is an experienced and skilled key person and is dedicated to ensuring that the children make good progress in the nursery. Sameem’s calm, sensitive unassuming approach is valued in our team. Sameem is responsible for supporting our teaching students who come to our school on placement. Sameem is a qualified Primary school teacher who over the last few years has developed her expertise in Early Years.
Stacey Ellison – Teaching Assistant
Stacey loves being with our children and ensuring that their needs are met. Stacey has worked in the nursery since 2011 and is one of our key workers.
Beverley Shaw – Teaching Assistant
Beverley supports all the Key Workers in the 3 & 4 year old provision to ensure the individual needs of the children are met. Beverley often provides targeted support for children who need extra help.
Natasha Witham – Teaching Assistant
Natasha is a key worker in Nursery and ensures that the Children’s learning needs are met. Natasha is responsible for literacy and maths.
Suzanne is a Keyworker in the 3 & 4 year old provision. She ensures the individual needs of the children are met. Suzanne loves playing and talking to the children as they explore the learning environment.
Jodie Heyes – Room Leader
Jodie is a key worker in our 3-4 year old provision. Jodie is passionate about working with young children and ensures that our nursery children build warm, supportive relationships with their key workers.
Sharon Clark – Teaching Assistant
Sharon supports all the Key Workers in the nursery to ensure the individual needs of the children are met. Sharon often provides targeted support for children who need extra help.
Jenny is our new Teaching Assistant working in the 3-4 Nursery Downstairs. Jenny is really enjoying meeting all the children and getting to know them all!
Pre – Nursery (2 Year Old):
Karina Hardy – Teaching Assistant
Karina is a key worker in the 2 year old provision. Karina loves the outdoors and takes responsibility for this area.
Sharon Roe – Teaching Assistant
Sharon is a key worker who ensures she builds a strong bond with her children so that their needs are met. Sharon is responsible for the art studio and loves to plan creative and exciting opportunities for our children.
Michelle is our key worker in the 2 year old provision. Michelle loves getting to know all the children and supports communication and language.
Dawn is our teaching assistant in our Two year old Provision, Dawn loves meeting
Nicholl is our new teaching assistant in the 2 year old Nursery Provision.
